Obituary of Kevin "Skins" Faro
Kevin “Skins” Faro born on March 20,1957, passed following a valiant fight against Cancer on August 9, 2024.
He is survived by his loving, devoted, and caring wife of 17 years Debra, son, John (Vicky) Sauter & his grandson Clayton that he adored so much; his siblings; Anne, loving brothers, Bill (Lynn), Thomas (Peggy), Rick (Cathy), John (Ursula); many cousins, and a wink to Aunt Rose. Also survived by his faithful dog, Thorgan that he loved very much. He was Pre-Deceased by father, William (Karen); mother, Arlene Scahill.
He grew up in a wooded area on Irondequoit Bay in West Webster, NY. He enjoyed many years as a “Bay Rat” and went to Webster schools. Following High School he worked for Conrail Railroad performing Track Maintenance as a Welder. Later living his dream operating heavy equipment with several Construction Companies, eventually joining the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) and retiring after many years as a highly esteemed and respected Crane Operator. (Special shout out to his many friends at IUOE Local 158).
After 50 years as a confirmed Bachelor, he married his soul mate and the Love of his Life, Deb.
He had a special place in his heart for his riding Brothers & Sisters from the West End that he considered real family with 55+ years of friendship & camaraderie, enjoying many bike trips, dump parties, and all around good times.
He was past Master of Wayne Lodge 416 & past Potentate of Damascus Shriners Temple #2. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and President Emeritus of the HMWHC (iykyk).
A Masonic Service and Celebration of Life will take place 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17 at Damascus Shrine Masons, 979 Bay Road, Webster, NY, 14580. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
