Willard H. "Bill" Scott –NYS Licensed Funeral Director

Bill Scott moved to Webster with his wife, Florence, in 1950 and purchased the Tinklepaugh Funeral Home, which he later renamed Willard H. Scott Funeral Home.

Bill, who was raised in a family of 13 in Fair Haven, NY, was encouraged to consider a profession in funeral directing by his high school counselor at Red Creek High School. He took her advice and went to Simmons School of Mortuary Science following high school. However before he was able to pursue the career he had trained for, Bill was drafted into the Army and he served in France during the Korean Conflict. He then attended Florida State University on the GI Bill and graduated with a Master’s degree in business accounting. He worked in the business field at Burroughs Corporation and Eastman Kodak Company before returning to the career that he had originally chosen.

Through the years Bill has been involved in the Webster Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, and the United Church of Christ.

Jeffrey Scott –NYS Licensed Funeral Director

Jeff’s philosophy is to treat each family that he helps as if they were his own family, and with the same care that he would want shown to him if he were calling in need of help about a death in his own family. He has been involved with his family’s business since 1990, and he and his wife, Sharon Corretore Scott, purchased controlling interest in the Willard H. Scott Funeral Home in 1998.

Born and raised in Webster, Jeff is a 1980 graduate of Webster Schroeder High School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of Idaho and worked in the timber and surveying industries before coming back home to join the family business. He graduated from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, located in Syracuse, in 1993.

Having been blessed with four children: Timothy, Alyssa, Lindsay, and Talya, Jeff and Sharon love spending time with them while they pursue their growing interests.
