My two brothers and I have known Jinx since we were infants. She was our mother's best friend while her husband Dick was our father's best friend. Our families traveled all over together for many years, especially on vacation trips to Quebec, ice fishing in the St. Lawrence, and to where our families had our two cabin cruisers docked at Henderson Harbor. Those were great times. Jinx was there when our mother passed in 2016 and I'll never forget how she sat and spoke quietly at her bedside, letting her know it was OK to let go. I've given Jinx a box of my homemade Christmas Candy every year and was hoping to do so again this year. I mourn her loss and lament the poor luck that seemed to shadow her after Dick died. She deserved better and I hope somewhere she knows how deeply she was loved by us all. No one told our family she had passed, I just found out. I'm passing this on to my brothers as I know they share my sentiments.

The family had a special name for her--Oogie . She had a good sense of humor and a smile. Aunt Oogie is now happy and healthy again and with Uncle Dick and everybody else up there. From Patricia, Elise, Ammanda, Dainel, Kathy, Bill, Lainy and Mike.
