Obituary of Dawn M. Jones

Webster, NY: Our beloved Dawn departed peacefully and surrounded by her family on July 27, 2024, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Steve; her two sons, Matt (Em) and Jeff (Courtney); three grandchildren, Sebastian, Arabella, and Arah; and her younger brother, Dan (Emilie) Schlegel. Dawn was a native of West Webster, NY and graduated from Webster Thomas High School in 1973. She worked as a bus driver for Webster Central School District for many years and remained a Webster resident until the time of her passing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage in Fair Haven, NY and loved the many dogs they owned over the years.

The family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff and volunteers at Wilmot Cancer Center, UR Medicine Hospice, and the Webster Comfort Care Home. Their dedication, kindness, and compassion will always be remembered.  

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 6th, followed by Visitation until 7:00 PM at Willard H Scott Funeral Home located at 12 South Avenue, Webster, NY 14580. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Webster Comfort Care Home at 700 Holt Road Webster, NY 14580.
