She had such a great smile. When she smiled, it was with her whole face.
Her eyes scrunched up, her cheeks rounded, and her laughter was something
you could hear and feel. There was childlike glee in her smile and laughter
that not too many people have. That was a special quality, a gift that she
had. I will always remember that about her.
Dawn Jones, a wonderful person and friend to many, passed away this past
Saturday, July 27th. We worked together at RC Anderson Associates for 12
years and our friendship continued for another 16 plus years after the
company closed its doors. Along with our fellow friends and "compatriots"
from the office, we kept getting together for lunches and dinners, staying
up to date with each other's life and sharing stories of the good old days. When we would recall something funny, that smile and laugh of hers were there again.
After a year and a half of dealing with cancer, after being told it was gone
some months back, Dawn passed away at the age of 68. She was a great
colleague, hard worker, honest, respected, joyful, caring, fun-loving. She
was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to countless people. No
matter the passing of the years, there was always something youthful about
her. That's how I'll choose to remember her-her smile, her laughter, her
joy.
Thank you, Dawn, for being in all our lives. You left us too soon. We love
you and miss you already.
