Obituary of Melanie Heberle (Wowkowych)
Webster: Thursday, August 3, 2023, age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas W. Heberle, Sr.; son, Thomas W. Heberle, Jr.; brother, Frank Wowkowych; sister, Ida Ruoff. She leaves her sister-in-law, Stephany Wowkowych; children, Karen (Roger) Dobbs, Paul Heberle and Linda Hill; daughter-in-law, Christine Heberle; grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Dobbs, Carie (Keith) Bradt, Elana Croyle, Matthew (Rachel), Nick (Elizabeth), Emily and Amanda Heberle; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
As a resident of Webster for 64 years, she raised her family and worked in the family business, Heberle Disposal. She was a devoted mother and wife who always put family first. Her Ukrainian heritage taught her high standards, the value of hard work and the importance of giving. She always stepped up to support those who needed her, spending much of her time in their personal care or in any other capacity. Most of all she also enjoyed many family gatherings throughout the years.
Friends may call 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 8 and 2-4, 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 9 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, August 10 at St. Rita’s Church, 1008 Maple Dr., Webster. Interment, Webster Union Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Ukraine United 24 at www. U24.gov.ua.
