She will always be Mrs. Franko. Her smile when you achieved a level of competence, especially in calculus was worth all of the hard work. Mrs. Franko believed that girls could be just as good as boys in math, long before it was cool. Packards, knee high boots... all in the beginning... cards, phone calls and words of encouragement through so many years. If I am a good instructor, it is because Bonnie Franko's fingerprints are on my beginnings. Be at peace.
