Funeral Mass
Obituary of Peter Bernard Hoysic
We lost our brother Peter last week. Born August 30, 1957. Passed away on Sunday Jan 29, 2023. We are heart-broken. Pete was a big-hearted guy, great friend, brother and cousin. As a visionary, he was ahead of his time.
Horticulturist, Landscaper, plantsman extraordinaire, a talker, seeker of all knowledge and answers. He was incredibly knowledgeable on many subjects. It was hard to talk with him without learning more about any subject. He made an unforgettable impact on most everyone he met. Peter is gone, but his gardens will live on.
Peter had amazing and devoted friends, and an abundance of supportive and wonderful relatives. Peter loved you all. We will treasure all of the amazing memories and stories. Thank you.
Predeceased by parents Peter and Rosemary Hoysic, and his beloved dog Butch.
Survived by seven siblings: Theresa, Mary, Ted, Martin, Janice, Luke (Cheryl) Hoysic, Anne (Erich) Tausch
All are invited to Peter’s Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Friday, February 10 at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield, followed by a brief gathering at church prior to burial. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield (corner of Baird and Whalen Rds.) Mass will be livestreamed on the church’s website, https://holyspirit-saintjoseph.org.
A Celebration of Life for Peter will be held at a later, and warmer, date and time.
This will be, of course, a Party in Peter fashion.
Farewell to our incredible beautiful brother. We love you and miss you already.
It is hard to imagine not getting a Peter phone call anymore…
