Born, Hartford, CT
Beloved and preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marguerite; and his wife Ginny. Survived by his brother Jack (Linda), daughters Amy (Tony) Russo and Lori, Ginny’s son Chic (Linda) Dittmar; grandchildren Abigail Russo, Micah Russo, Laura (Eric) Chidester, Mark (Kaitlyn) Dittmar, Glenn Dittmar, great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and family.
Son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend, craftsman, fisherman, veteran, toastmaster, speed skater, health and fitness enthusiast, bible student, and a part of area service ministries and churches.
Don’s life was summarized by this verse: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13. We are blessed and grateful to have walked with him along the way.
Friends and family are invited to share memories and reflections at a service on June 5 at 6:00 pm at Rochester Mennonite Fellowship, 111 Hillside Avenue, Rochester, NY 14610.
Gifts in his honor can be made to The Webster Arboretum, The Open Door Mission, Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, or Genesee Land Trust.
