My beloved, more than a best friend my soul mate at heart who wouldn't leave me ever by choice, is gone. 15 years of living together and a friendship that only blossomed more and more over time and became the most important person in my life. We sleep in the same room or had our doors open so I felt safe. I was happily "nurse Jen" when ever you needed because you were the most patient person with me like no other. You are my rock and I just want you back. I will never forget that there are some good people in the world because of you. I'm going to be a mess for quite some time and I definitely feel dead without you. All my love till we meet again. And you better haunt me occasionally if you can. I miss you so much!

Hayes and I graduated high school together. He was always so sweet, kind and helpful. He never seemed to be having a bad day and always had a smirky smile. Recently I reconnected with Hayes. I had seen his cancer updates on Facebook. I had begun praying for him as he went through treatments and surgeries. In Nov 2021 I received the same cancer diagnosis as Hayes. Without a hesitation he filled me in on the “in’s and out’s” of treatments, where to go, and his experiences. He gave me his phone number and told me don’t hesitate to call with questions anytime. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I feel so blessed to have known Hayes and I continue to keep you all in my prayers.

Hayes and I were best friends in high school in 1989 onwards. We went fishing in bear creek for trout. We would wade out with our fishing poles. Hayes, josh and i formed a band for a short time. But we all remain friends. Thank you Hayes for the memories. Thank you Lord for my friend Hayes.

Hayes, your physical presence will be missed, but your spiritual presence will be with us always. You fought the best and most courageous fight I have ever witnessed. It is my honor to have known you, and have been considered part of the family. My love to Harold, Heather, Heidi, Navdeep, Neil, Ted....and all of those in the Doster extended family who are thinking of and remembering Hayes as I am.
