Sorry to hear the news. I wish I had gotten the word earlier. Ed was a great friend at St John Fisher College, and especially our year abroad in Paris. His smile and sense of humor made things a lot more fun. May he rest in peace

All the stories that my dad (Mike Ennis) has shared this week about Ed highlight a man who really sought the value of enjoying life. We are so sorry for your lost and hope you find comfort in memories.

Ed Sauers was the wonderful fourth grade teacher for both of our daughters. He was known for many good traits yet we remember him as the man of the "flying Now and Laters" since he'd toss one of the candies to a student who had a right answer. Our daughters were happy in his classroom. Warm condolences to his family.

Ed was a true friend of mine for over 35 Years, and I don't know how to wrap my head around that he won't be there for me to talk to and share stories with in the future........We shared many similar interests and swapped so much laughter and tales of our adventures in life.......No more meeting for fish fries, or going to Burger King for lunch.....In my last conversation with him just a couple of days before his passing, we laughed so much....He brought so much joy to my life and I know how much he loved his family, and your loss is shared by me and many others......I have so many memories of Ed, and now our world is a little more cold and lonesome, as he will be terribly missed......Thank YOU ALL for sharing him with me for so long...My love and best to you....

Dear Joyce, Matt, Kate and Beth....This was quite a shock to see in the paper this morning. I can't express how sorry I am for all of you. What a hole in your famiily
He died ironically on the first day of Spring. Think of the gardens he'll design in heaven!
Ed was a friend you could meet up with years apart from the last time and pick up where you left off. He shared garden cuttings and loved to talk about Little Matt, whom he adored. Lots of memories:of teaching, trips, concerts, meeting new friends who became really close old friends. I'll miss him
Because of Covid, I can't come to the funeral home. Please stay in touch. Cathy McMahon

Joyce, and Ed's family,
So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. It has been too many years since I last caught up with Ed. back in Rochester. I'll always remember our days at Aquinas and the college years when we all got together and had some really great times. He was always fun to be with and was so gullible! But, he was always sincere and loved all that he did.
My prayers go out to you and Ed's family.
