Obituary of Joan P. Ferguson
Friday, May 29, 2020 at age 89. Joan was born in Syracuse, NY and was pre-deceased by her husband of 42 years, James R. Ferguson in 1992. Joan is survived by her brother Ronald S. Potts, MD (Diana) of Salisbury, NC. She is also survived by her children, Thomas H. Ferguson, PhD (Faith) of Greenfield, IN, Gary J. Ferguson (Leigh) of Vero Beach, FL, Bari C. Koch of Webster, NY; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Joan was a homemaker and piano teacher having attended Eastman School of Music. Joan loved music, especially classical music, loons, spending time at the family cabin on Sucker Lake, walking the beach and watching sunsets in Indian Rocks Beach, FL, time spent with friends and family. Joan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Interment will be private. The family requests that memorial donations in Joan’s name be made to United Church of Christ, 570 Klem Rd., Webster, NY 14580 or Church of the Isles, 200 24th Ave. N., Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785.
