Obituary of James Horkheimer

James M. Horkheimer passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at age 83.

Jim was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and grew up in Westchester County, NY. He was a graduate of Mamaroneck High School and Lehigh University.

Jim leaves his wife Claudia; son, Ernie Horkheimer (Deb), daughter Julie Gary (Rick) and their mother Cecile Horkheimer. He also leaves a sister Judy Eckert; stepdaughter, Melissa Newman (Dave); 3 grandchildren, Kailey Slye-Liddic (Ben), Corey Slye (Jessie), Kiera Liu (Frank); and great granddaughter Willa Liu. Jim was preceded in death by his son John.

Jim and Claudia lived in Penfield for 24 years and recently relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. He was a long term volunteer with Cephas, an avid bridge player, and a friend of Bill.

Friends are invited to his Service of Remembrance 11:30 AM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster.
