My thoughts are with you all over the next few day-weeks and months ---he lived a great life--full of fun and laughter but there is a hole now where he was--time and memories will heal your heart. I can still remember the first day of my freshmen year in college when I met my best life long friend along with her amazing parents. From that moment on they became Mom and Dad Collier to all of us lucky enough to be with Pat. We all counted on "Mom Collier " for her care packages--filled with homemade cookies and timely seasonal gifts--which we cherished. I considered myself very lucky to be included in those packages and to have a small part of the love packaged inside of them. "Dad Collier" was there when anyone of us needed to solve a problem or figure out a way to put something together or just for his thoughtful--albeit often funny and charming words of wisdom. I know Pat thought he was the smartest man alive and I came to believe that as well. He could straighten out our unsolvable problems and make us laugh as he did it. Dad Collier was smart and kind and thoughtful and funny and often filled in as superman when it was needed. I am grateful to have known him and his beautiful family--Thank you all for sharing a small part of this loving man--he will be missed by many.

My Grandfather lived 94 amazing years of life. Think about that, 94 years. It was only since Easter that he was sent to hospice, and some how he seemed to make that great too. When I last visited him in August of 2019 he said, "Nick can I get you a root beer float?" Surprised, I foolishly asked, "We can do that?" He laughed and said, "Yeah I'm 94 years old I can do anything I want!" He lived the perfect life. May we all be as blessed as he was and take time to enjoy the simple things. He and Grace went to countless picnics and bbq's and never missed a single one of their grand children's accomplishments. I'll miss you grandpa and I promise to always put the emphAHsis on the right syllAAble.
