Sam was my neighbor on West Bay Rd and when my late wife and I bought our S-2 sail boat he generously came down and took us out for our first cruise. That was when he said in his big voice and smile "that's called a boom and when it your head it goes boom"! I am fortunate to call Sam my friend. Rest in peace.
