Obituary of Christopher W. Barnes
Webster: Completed his heroic battle with cancer Wed., Aug 8, 2018, with his family by his side, age 52. Predeceased by his father, William; uncles, John Leader and Robert Barnes; mother-in-law, Karen Siekierski. He leaves his loving wife, Leslie; beloved daughters, Allison and Rebecca; mother, Margery (Donald) Maring; step-mother, Sue Barnes; sisters, Kelli and Tori Barnes; aunt Patricia (Andrew) Nye; father-in-law, Roger Siekierski; brother-in-law Keith Siekierski; family friend, Mark Robelli. For 27 years, Chris was a dedicated teacher and lacrosse coach in the Webster Central School District. He was a graduate of H.W. Schroeder High School, SUNY Geneseo, and Nazareth College.
Friends may call 1-4 PM, and 6-8 PM, Wednesday, Aug 15, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. His Funeral Service will be held 9:30 AM, Thurs., August 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 131 West Main St., Webster. Entombment at White Haven Memorial Park will follow the Funeral Service. A reception will follow the Entombment, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wilmot Cancer Center or towards the education of Allison and Rebecca, c/o Alan Dungey, 1069 Shoemaker Road, Webster, NY 14580.
If attending the calling hours or service, feel free to bring a favorite picture of Chris to place in one of the journals in the funeral home or church. There will be name tags for everyone attending and the family would like you to write your name and connection to Chris on the tag. Please place your name tag in one of the journals upon leaving.
