Obituary of Rudolph Hersan Kistner
Kistner, Rudolph "Rudy"
Webster: Sun., Sept. 7, 2014, age 88. He leaves his wife, Dolores; children, Marc (Marilyn) Kistner, Laura (Joe) Stahl and John Kistner; grandchildren, Matthew Kistner, Margie, Patrick and Jojo Stahl; sister, Ruth Nill.
Born in Utica, Rudy joined the Navy at age 17 and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII on a destroyer escort. After earning his Master's degree in Industrial Psychology, Rudy worked at Gleason Works, USAID in Vietnam, taught at Empire State College, Nazareth College and RIT and worked for the Saudi Arabian Dept. of Labor. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, gardening, old movies and volunteering at the Red Cross.
Friends attended a Memorial Mass 11:00 AM Sat. at St. Paul's Church, 783 Hard Rd., Webster. Memorials may be directed to a charity of choice. Arrangements were by Willard H. Scott Funeral Home.
