Obituary of John "Jack" W. Hallauer
Webster: Passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at age 91. Predeceased by his parents, Milton and Adeline Hallauer; sisters, Ruth (Glen) Brower and Rowena (Perry) Nadig. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Irma Musclow Hallauer; 3 children, Alan (Kevin) Hallauer of Denver, CO, Glenn (Patricia) Hallauer of Webster and Gail (Mark) Hall of Webster; grandchildren, John (Caitlin) Hallauer and Lisa (Alex) DiFrancisco, Thomas and James Hall; nieces and nephews. A WWII Veteran, Jack graduated from the University of Maryland. He started his working career at the family business, Webster Canning and Preserving Company. Later he went to work as a Food Technologist in Quality Control for Gerber Products, manufacturer of baby food, in Rochester. In retirement, he enjoyed driving school bus for Webster Central Schools. Jack took pleasure in making use of his many tools creating things for others.
Friends may call 3-6 PM Monday at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Memorial Service 2:00 PM Tuesday at Webster United Methodist Church, 169 East Main St., Webster, NY 14580. Interment at the convenience of the family at Webster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church.
