I want to let you know that I just made a contribution to the Go Fund Me account that had been set up for you. I hope that you receive it. You are in our hearts and prayers. We adored Leo!

I am sad to hear about the passing of Coach Leo. More than a meaningful youth football coach to me and many others, he remained one of the most personable, kindest individuals — always up for a good conversation over sports (mostly the Bills and ‘Cuse hoops). Thanks for all you did for the Webster community, Leo. You’ll be missed.

Our sincere sympathy to Leo’s family. I enjoyed coaching and the many chats that we would have in the gym about all kinds of football. He was a great man. Rest In Peace Leo!

This is so difficult to accept. "Leo", who used to live across the street from me while we lived in Rochester, N.Y., was my best bud while growing up. Eventually, I moved down South and lost contact with him. He was truly one of the greatest friends I had, and even then, was such a balanced and "old school" raised decent individual. I offer my greatest of condolences to His family and other friends, who have indeed lost a fantastic buddy, family member, or unique friend, such as Leo. As youths, we travelled
a bit up and down the East Coast as well as paint Rochester's "hotspots" - He was always there to back you up and stand the proper ground from the proper perspective. Growing up with Leo usually had us working out together with weights, playing and passing the football around, kicking a few obstinate hineys, nailing the confections from "Bondbread", devouring Angelo's pizza on Saturdays, or knocking the baseball around in his backyard on Ontario Street ...( and we both knocked it over Louis Street Center continually, or it didn't count :) ). His passing on is indeed a great loss, especially at a time wherein we live, when those who would brighten up others lives are a rare breed. Farewell My Friend and May God Himself, Mega-Bless you, and console all those who feel and know your loss. What an amazing bosom buddy you were Leo...

Coach Leo.......so sad to here about his passing. He was one of my son Jack's favorite coaches. Not sure if it's because he kicked Jack's butt on the practice field, or because he would take the time to stop and make sure Jack had all the leaves done in our yard! Great coach, great man, it's unfortunate for us, but they very lucky to have him where he is now.

Leo will be remembered fondly by a great number of adults and children. His passion for the game of football, and for the boys that played it, made our town a better place for generations. Leo's poison and enthusiasm, and his selfless demeanor, made him a pleasure to be around. I looked forward to every conversation with Leo on the sidelines. Rest in peace Coach, you will be missed.

The first time I met Leo was at the Bayview YMCA. I introduced myself and welcomed him to our family. I saw Leo every morning as he ooened the front desk and I was the opener for child watch. He loved his job and the members loved him. He had a quorkie sence of humor and made me laugh at the most random things. I always prayed he would get strong enough to come back to work. One day he and Kathie came walking in the Y and his smile lit up the place. It was so nice seeing him. That day will always be in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss to Kathey and the family. He will be missed.
