Obituary of Granville Burtis Chambers
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 22, 2017, at age 86. Born to Norman B. and Anna M. Brotherton Chambers on March 11, 1931 in Neptune City, NJ. Granville is survived by his wife Sylvia of 62 years; son, Aaron (Dianne); daughters, Sharon (Philippe), Joyce, Jeannette and Laura; nine grandchildren; his sister, Myrtle Fitzpatrick; and many other family members.
Granville was an accomplished singer. He was a longtime member of the
Webster Baptist Church where he sang tenor in the choir. He performed
in many local musical productions.
A memorial service, with reception to follow, will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 7, at Webster Baptist Church, 59 South Ave. Webster, NY 14580. Donations may be made to Webster Baptist Church "Organ Fund."
