Obituary of Ruth B. Guyett

Webster: Wed., July 19, 2017, age 94. Ruth was married on June 21st, 1946, to her husband Frederick at St. Michael's Church in Rochester. Ruth and Frederick found a place to call home in Webster, first living on Lakeview Terrace and then Lake Road. Working at Kodak early in her life, Ruth left there to raise her family, then found a new career in working at School Pictures in Webster. Her many hobbies included sewing, knitting, gardening, and canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. Ruth enjoyed avidly traveling throughout the United States, taking time at their cottage at Port Bay, and spending winters at their house in St. Petersburg Florida. Married for 65 years, Ruth's husband Frederick died in 2011. She leaves her children, Barbara (Charles) Gardner, Linda Dennis, Larry (Susan) Guyett; grandchildren, Sandy (Rick) Abate, Jeff (Christy) Gardner, Kevin Dennis, Bryan (fiance`, Christina Barnhart) Dennis, Courtney Dennis, Kathy and Samantha Guyett; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson. Friends are invited to her Memorial Service 1:00 PM Sunday, July 30th in the Sunrise room at St. John's Home, 150 Highland Ave., Rochester, where an informal reception will follow until 3:00 PM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
