Uncle Richard was my favority uncle because of his good humor, love for the outdoors and his very handy way with tools and art. The little wooden stool he made for Jess and painted a teddy bear remains a very special possession.
He was faithful in visiting my mother when she was in the Episcopal Home because of a stroke that left her paralyzed and dad when he was in the Villages at Park Ridge.
Helen and I are sure he is with the Casper clan.

Dear Aunt Jane and all my wonderful cousins and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Uncle Dick was a very special man to me and to so many people. He had such a great sense of humor! I loved how he playfully teased all of us. I loved our camping trips together and my early morning canoe ride in Norridgewock with Aunt Jane and Uncle Dick. I loved dinners together at your house or Mom's. I'll miss my phone calls with him. Heaven has gained another angel, a very handy one at that! God bless you all
Mr. Richard Casper is an absolutely wonderful fella and I am truly blessed to have met him and his lovely wife and beautiful family. Godspeed young man.

To Aunt Jane and my Casper cousins. I am deeply sorry for your loss and regret that distance prevents me being able to personally pay my respects. Uncle Richard was one of the kindest men I've ever known and his loss will be deeply felt. On April 12th, we as a family became poorer and heaven richer when he was called home.
