Obituary of Robert A. Crescent

Webster: Born May 4, 1928. Died Mar 28, 2017 at age 88. Predeceased by wife, Shirley; parents, Robert and Erma; brother, Richard; and grandson, Christopher Coene. Bob leaves his children, Patricia and Gary Crescent; stepdaughters, Karen (John) Howell, Sherrie (John) Turano, Kim (Pat) Dunn, Stacey (David) Miller; brother, Donald; grandchildren, James and David Crescent, Brandon Coene, Ashley Graves, Cooper and Mack Howell, Brittany, Morgan and Josh Dunn, Graham and Madison Miller; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

An Eagle Scout and Boy Scout Troop leader, Bob graduated Webster High School in 1947 and honed his landscape skills by working at Hallauer's Nursery, Josh Gardens Florist and Greenview Landscape. After a short stint in the Army (1950) he started his own landscape company (Green Thumb Garden) which he ran for over 50 years. Winter employment included Rochester Steel Treating Works, Town of Webster, R. B. Mason, U.S. Post Office, Dorn Optical, Photometric Data Systems, Bardi Tool & Die, J.C. Plastics. Bob was active in the American Legion, enjoyed daily tea with friends at local Webster haunts, and (in his younger years) travel and photography. A 20+ year habit of daily expert Sudoko challenges kept his mind sharp.

Friends may call 10AM – 12PM Sat (4/1/17) at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster where his Memorial Service will follow at 12PM. Interment at Webster Rural Cemetery.
