Obituary of Shirley J. Smith

Webster:  Saturday, December 7, 2024, age 88.  Predeceased by her husband, George.  She leaves her children, Barbara (Grant) Wigderson, Kenneth (Barbara) and Timothy Smith;  grandchildren, Jennifer (Allen) Fox, Sara (Kalty Vazquez) Wigderson, Lindsay (Nathan) Yates, Graham (Caroline) Smith and Kristin (Dave) Bellanca;  great-grandchildren, Avery and Emersyn Fox, Parker and Luke Smith, Gionna and Jack Bellanca;  sisters, Sally (Gary) McKee and Donna (James) Burns;  nieces and nephews.

A great cook, Shirley hosted Sunday family dinners at her home for years.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and Uno, and had many fond memories from years of camping with family and friends.  Shirley was a Teacher’s Aide for over 25 years at BOCES and a dependable volunteer at the Webster Museum.

Friends may call 11AM-1 PM Monday, December 23 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where her Funeral Service will flollow at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Landing of Brighton and URMC Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
