Obituary of Milton "Milt" James "Jim" Pringle
Webster: aged 86, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Rochester, New York.
Milt dedicated four years of service to the Navy from1955-1959, a period in which he exemplified dedication, discipline, and served aboard the aircraft carrier USS LEYTE. Following his military service, he embarked on a longstanding career of 36 years with Xerox Corporation where he was manager of plant facilities and engineering and made significant contributions over the years.
An alumnus of Har-Brack High School, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, Milt “Jim” was known for his profound love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, often found at his cherished hunting camp in the Pennsylvania Mountains, a place where he felt most at peace. His hobbies weren’t just pastimes; they were an extension of his personality, reflecting his adventurous spirit and love for nature. He was also a member of the Masons.
Milt leaves behind a loving family, including his best friend and beloved wife, Margaret Ballon Pringle; children, James (Wendy) Pringle, Gary (Carol) Pringle, Lori Pringle Garratt and son-in-law Brad Garratt; grandchildren, Matthew (Jenny) Pringle, Talia (Mac) McDonough, Carina (Francesca) Messura, Olivia Garratt, Danielle Garratt, Avery Garratt, Sam (Macey) Vaccaro, Giovanni (Nicole) Vaccaro, Nick (Amelia) Vaccaro, and Victoria Vaccaro; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Herbert Pringle; sister, Gayle Bash Bailey; and brother, Russell "Skip" Pringle.
Milt’s life will be celebrated and remembered as one full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family and country. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, NY. A private family service and interment at Webster Union Cemetery will follow.
