Susie and David, a team that can't be separated in my memories. I can't speak of one without the other. I met Susie and David 60 years ago as a three-year old and I'm better for it. I'm not sure how to put 60 years of friendship into a brief remembrance but maybe the best thought of all is that they always treated me and my family as a part of their family. They were always welcoming, kind and loving. They always made me feel important as well as loved. Even as a little kid, I always referred to them as Susie and David; it never bothered them but it made me like a somebody. Both of them were always there for my Parents with their friendship and help. Through David's aid, my Dad traded in three jobs for one at Xerox. This benefitted my family immensely. Being invited to many an Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner resonates with me to this day. Susie invited me to Easter dinner this past year. As I was leaving I gave her two big hugs; one for me and one for my Sister who lives out of state. I'm thankful I had that chance to give Susie a last hug. Susie and David will always live in my memories and heart.
