Obituary of Alec J. Ricci
Tragically, on September 27, 2024, 27-year-old Alec passed in Lake Placid, NY. It was one of his most cherished places, doing what he loved with his best friend. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Ricci; father, Robert A (Tracey Krenzer) Ricci; sister, Christina Ricci; brother, Ian (Mikayla Mull) Ricci; grandmother, Margaret Shuttleworth; aunts, Maryann (Bill) Bogaerd and Louise Twombly; uncle, James Ricci; cousins, nephew, Emmett; many friends, including his best friend, Ashton Pilato. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, H. John Shuttleworth, and paternal grandparents, James Jr. and Joan Ricci.
Alec was a free spirit who loved fishing, boating, camping, snowboarding, and motorcycling. He was self-taught in the art of smoking meat – and excelled at it. Alec loved smoking meat alongside his father and wasn’t shy about schooling him on the skill. He looked forward to Sundays at his mother’s smoking meat alongside his brother. He loved raiding his father’s vegetable garden and then creating incredible meals. Having a close relationship with his Grandpa John, they would spend many hours tinkering away on various projects. These lessons and working with his father inspired his passion for the trades. Alec was a talented fabricator and welder. It didn’t take him long to land his dream job of making race cars. He had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. He was always up for a good time and lived life to the fullest. There was so much more to this young man’s life.
Friends may visit 4-8 PM Wednesday, October 2 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity to be announced, c/o Robert Ricci, 93 North Drive, Rochester, NY 14612.
Alec will be sorely missed, and not a day will go by that he won’t be thought of. Until we see each other again … you are so loved.
