I loved his smile, Danny wanted everyone to be happy and to have enough food and drink. We knew if we went to the 3 Flags, Danny would be there. Prayers for Mary and the family. Cousin Peggy Heindl

A sad loss of a great man. Danny treated me like he didn't own the place. A big smile, a hard handshake, and a great conversationalist. Will miss him dearly, Red

It was one heck of a run Shape and as the Chairman Of The Board says, 'You did it your way!'. Mary & entire Flaherty family, we'll all miss The Barz dearly, however we take comfort in seeing much of him in James as he wheels around the joint, taking care of people. Regrettably I will be out of town for your proper Flaherty's send off on Monday, but I will be sure to find a local joint here in Manhattan and tip a little Schnitz with a Sidecar in your honor. See you again someday for a couch marathon on the other side, Shape.

Danny Flaherty is a legend! Always a smile - Always a firm handshake. You could get a group of Webster/Penfield friends together & tell stories of Danny (Shape) for days! (All good stories). What a character! We’ve lost another good one. Rest in Peace my friend.

Danny will forever hold a place in my heart. He was happy when you were, showed compassion when you needed it. He was a friend, a father and the best human being. If everyone could be like Danny, we’d have peace on earth. My heart goes
out to the Flaherty’s, I trust your strength and dedication to honor his legacy. I’m honored to have known Danny.

Danny was well loved by many, including us, deeply. The Flaherty's chose us to be a part of their family, and we chose them back. We will always be there for them all. Danny will forever be missed. Many memories, great times, and was always there for the good and the bad, taking it all in stride and listening to everyone.
Even when he wasn't well, but having a good day coming in to check on everyone, and "the joint" to make sure everyone was happy. We are going to miss him very much.
He was a man who made this world a better place, and will continue to do so in our hearts, his family and friends. Monday will be a tough day, but we will share his love, laughter, stories and music as he would want. Much love, Louise and Kurt Johnson

Many have already said how Danny was one of a kind. Always able to laugh at himself if he knocked over something behind the bar while retrieving your drink. He’d shrug his shoulders and roll his eyes and not miss a step in quickly serving you a drink. And he always dressed nicely when behind the bar. Always wearing a collared shirt that he probably bought from Sibleys, 5 minutes before he started work. Loved that about him. A kind soul. So sweet. So fun to be around . We will never forget you Danny. If anyone deserves to be resting in peace it’s you, my friend.
