Obituary of Martin Horeth
Webster: Monday, February 6, 2017, at age 89. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Hilda Fuchs Horeth; children, Deborah (Edward) Huehn, William (Diane) Horeth, Cathryn (Robert) Mills, Jeanette (Robert) Guenther and Margaret (Brian) Benedict. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother, John Horeth; sisters-in-law, Helen (Lee) Peachey and Eleanor (Hardy) Prentice; brother-in-law, Mathias Wolf; nieces, nephews and extended Kittelberger Florist family. He was predeceased by siblings George, Rose, Marie, and sister-in-law Renee.
He was born in Gross-schogen, Romania and immigrated to the US in 1950. Shortly thereafter, he started working for Willy and Pauline Fuchs at Kittelberger Florist. Martin and Hilda were proud to grow their family business along with their children and grandchildren. He was involved with the Associated Florists of Greater Rochester where he received many honors, Webster Fire Department, Kiwanis Club, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassion and excellent care provided by Maplewood Nursing Home.
Friends are invited to call Thursday from 2:00 – 8:00 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday at 6:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 131 West Main St., Webster.
