Obituary of Catherine "Cathy" [Pillitteri] Catalino

April 14, 1931 – July 6, 2024

     Webster: Saturday, July 6, 2024.   Survived by children, Henry A. (Nancy) Catalino, Diane (William) Horeth, Michael( Gale) Catalino and Mark Catalino; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Virginia Catalino, Mary Pavone and Helen Catalino; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry R. Catalino; her parents, Carmelo and Estera Pillitteri; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Sylvester Sutera; brother-in-law, Salvatore Catalino; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Catalino;  brother-in-law, Richard Pavone.  She was a devoted, loving and inspirational mother.
 

     Cathy attended SUNY Brockport where she met Hank Catalino. They were married on November 19, 1955. After graduating college, she began her career as an elementary school teacher. She left teaching to become a stay-at-home mom. Cathy later became a realtor with Town Crier Realty and co-owned and operated Hank's Ice Cream and Roast Beef Sandwiches with her husband Hank. She was past president of the Women’s Club of Webster and had volunteered at Webster Comfort Care and with RGH Twig. She belonged to the Rochester Federation of Women’s Clubs and was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Webster, where she also volunteered with the Marthas.

     Cathy was honored to receive the Citation of Appreciation during the SUNY of Brockport Homecoming weekend in October of 2008.

     The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the staff of Maplewood Nursing Home.

     We’ll all remember her singing “I love you a bushel and a peck , a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”

     Cathy's warmth, dedication, and inspiring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a devout Christian and is awaiting the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

     A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 10am at St. Paul’s Church, 783 Hard Road, Webster.
