Betty and Walt were indeed family, Jean (her best friend since early elementary school) and I were God-Parents to each other's children, camped together and enjoyed life as true family members. All who knew Betty were blessed and we shall miss her.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the family. Aunt Betty was truly a very special person, and my fond memories of all of us together will be with me forever. To think that Mom & her were best friends their entire life is quite amazing.

I was sadden to hear of Betty's passing. I met her 52 years ago - an energetic little lady with a HUGE garden. She was always busy and if it wasn't gardening season, she was raking up barrels of acorns. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren. Her earthly toils are over - rest now, Dear Lady.
