Albert H. "Al" Williams Obituary

Webster: Thursday, March 7, 2024, age 73. Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Virginia. He leaves his wife of 31 years, Kathleen “Kathy”; sister-in-law, Karen (Dan) Clark; brother-in-law, Mark (Lynn) Platt; nieces, Lindsey and Lauren Clark; nephews, Cameron and Hunter Platt; brother, Alfred; cousin, Faye.

Al grew up in Webster and attended Holy Trinity grade school, RL Thomas High School and Monroe Community College, where he served as President of student government. While in high school, Al formed a band called “The Brood” and later “The Common Bond” where he played the drums. After moving to California in the 80’s, he owned his own business, AWA Enterprises, sales reps with offices in Seattle, Portland, LA, Orange County and San Diego. He went on to spend 3 seasons with the San Diego Chargers as a sales executive. It was during his tenure there that he became interested in real estate.  He served as President of the Laguna Hills Chamber of Commerce, and volunteered at Junior Achievement and Saddleback Community Outreach.  After moving back to Webster, Al continued his career in real estate.  He was an avid golfer, fisherman, amateur astronomer and loved spending time with his wife, Kathy, especially at their favorite place, Hedges Restaurant at the lake.  He loved a good steak on the grill and a nice cabernet to go with it. Al spent hours listening to his favorite music in his sound room.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, patient care techs and everyone involved for their wonderful care at Wilmot Cancer Institute and the Sussman Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.
