Obituary of Shirley E. Beh Herbst
On January 8, 2024, time stood still as our beloved mom, Shirley E Herbst, peacefully passed away with family holding her hands. She was 92 years old. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, Ray & Ruth Hayden; brother, Edwin Hayden; grandson, John Patrick Beh; daughter-in-law, Patty Beh; and by her husband of 28 years, George A. Herbst (1989).
She is survived by her children, Michael (Connie), Milan (Gail), Gary (Patty), Danny, Peggy Daly (husband, Scott), Brian (Michele), twins, Jim (Anne Marie) and Joe (Mary) and Mary Beth Kujawa. Along with her children she has 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren
Shirley retired at the age of 80 from Holy Childhood, a longtime passion of hers. After retiring, mom’s next joys were her pets, painting beautiful pictures, and gardening. She could be found outside every day that Webster weather would allow. Her yard reflected that of a beautiful kempt park.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, January 18 at St. Rita’s Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster. Spring burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Holy Childhood.
From the bottom of our hearts, we will love and miss our mother through eternity. RIP Mom.
