Obituary of Carol Ann Boltwood

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Boltwood, née Smith, on January 3rd, 2024. Born on September 19, 1939 to Kenneth and Helen Smith, she was predeceased by them both. Carol is survived by children, Christine (Rod) Wordlaw, Karen (Alan) Shapiro and Peter (Paige) Boltwood; as well as grandchildren Benjamin, Nathan, Katharine Noa and John Tyler; three brothers, three sisters and their spouses;  many nephews and nieces; and her very loving caretakers and friends Ellen Stern and Maureen Davio.

Carol’s family mourns the loss of their mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. We seek comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended. Some of her favorite things were old movies, Elvis, visiting with her grandchildren and watching the birds outside her window. All who knew her got to witness her kind and gentle nature, her sharp mind, and her wonderful sense of humor. She will be so greatly missed.
