Emily was a dear friend and my sales rep from Jacobstein for many years.
She was a delight to work with, always smiling, and was the kindest person I ever met.
May she rest in peace.

Emily was a dear friend to my mom, and to all of our family, as a parishioner of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church. Her energy, down-to-earth compassion, and thoughtfulness are unforgettable. She was so humble-for a woman who said that she wasn't sure about camping (in spite of the spark of life she brought to the campfire!) to achieve all that she did with the Boy Scouts is just amazing! That is Emily-understated, and always striving to do better, and no doubt driven always by love. My husband, a devoted Green Bay Packer fan, was so grateful to meet a fellow fan when we moved back to Rochester-and is convinced that was a sign of her great character :)
Emily, thank you for your example of ongoing faith in the face of life's most difficult challenges-your life was inspiring, and we pray that you are at rest in God's peace.

So I met Emily “Em” during my Woodbadge course in 1998. Guess I was just lucky to become an Owl like her. My first interaction with her, was when the Course Scoutmaster wanted our patrol to make certain food for the Feast. We needed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sirloin Tenders, Beets, Carrots Etc. We determined if we put all this stuff in a Stew that would qualify. “Em” immediately went to work and to my amazement, was able to supply all of this stuff like she pulled it out of a magic hat. After amazing the staff with our ability to supply a dinner with all these items by telling them “its in the stew” we were challenged with make me a Beet Puff Pastry for Desert. I had no idea how to make these, however “Em” Came through again. You sort of became Immediately Emotionally Invested when she Would Clue You in About how to accomplish the impossible with Food at Scout Camp. I don’t know how exactly it happened but I became a Staff Member at JLtc and NYLT for many years. Every Year I would call on her to perform another miracle helping to feed at times a Hundred Hungry Scouts. There were times she would drive all the way to camp as we would be missing something or other. Whenever I interacted with “Em” she would always have an idea about how to solve food related problems. I remember first calling her and discussing the fact that the menu calls for chicken and we have none. She would show up just in time with the chicken and you would need another miracle to get that served on schedule. The way she got you to perform these wonders was to have a magical look that said “I’m going to cry if you don’t pull this off” So you could say in addition to all the accolade’s Woodbadge NYLT “Super staffer” – Silver Beaver Recipient, you could add “Always there when needed” In closing “Em” always reminded me of the Song The Other Day I Met a Bear in Tennis Shoes. Yep that’s it for sure as “Em” arrives in heaven all will know the Unstoppable lady who can act like a Bear in Tennis Shoes! My prayer is she will still watch over us all - from heaven..
