Obituary of Lorrilyn Adell "Lorrie" [Wright] Jones - aka The Hat Lady
Pittsford: Thursday, November 23, 2023, age 76. Predeceased by her parents, Claude G. and Geraldine Wright; sister-in-law, Nancy Wright; parents-in law, Edward and Dorothea Jones; sister-in-law, Nancy Jones. She leaves her husband of 49 years, Edward; brother, Claude H. Wright; sisters, Joanne (Peter) Smith, Valerie (Douglas) Wahl and Christine (Marshall) Kelly; nieces and nephews, Contessa (Pat) Tobin, Claude A. Wright, Kaitlyn (Jerry) Tagliente, Jaclyn (Justin) Brosnan, Brandon Whitmore and Rebecca (Ryan) O’Connor; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Gary) Higgins; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Fran) Halloran, Joanne (Steve) Cook and Sandra (Rich) Shores; many great nieces and nephews…all 20 of them! and many dear friends.
A member of the Sweet Adelines singing group, Lorrie was also a part of the Footlight Players of Greater Rochester and a proud member of P.E.O., a Philanthropic Education Organization for Women.
She was very proud of her work record in metal sales at Ontario Metal Supplies, as an industrial buyer at Teledyne Water Pik, Colorado, and in market research for both Gordon Black and Harris Interactive.
Friends may call 1-2 PM Monday, December 4 at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where her Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to P.E.O., a Philanthropic Educational Organization for Women, at www.peointernational.org or American Diabetes Assoc., at diabetes.org.
