Obituary of Joan M. Blind
Webster: On Sunday, October 15, 2023, Heaven welcomed Joan M. Blind. Joan, 91, is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth, daughter, Debra Jean Blind, and brother, William Bailey. She leaves behind her children, Doreen Landry, John (Linda) Blind, Kenneth (Laura) Blind, Donna (Anthony) Hurley, Diane (Steve) Latragna and Lisa Reese; her sister, Diane Mitchell; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and two individuals who are considered members of the family, Timothy Sheldon and Tammy Brusso.
Joan was an amazing woman who had a thirst for knowledge. She made friends wherever she went and was kind and loving to everyone she met. Joan frequented the Bay View YMCA daily for a swim and then would be off to the Eastside YMCA or Webster Rec Center to take part in games, activities, socialization, and fun. She was a pure joy to be around and will be missed by many. We will especially miss Joan’s eagerness to beat us at a game of euchre, bingo, mahjong, or whatever game was being played. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held next Summer.
