Mom and Dad always put the Christmas tree up on Christmas Eve. Decorations, tinsel and all. One of his favorite stories was about a particular Christmas when, after putting us to bed, they got the tree up and beautiful. He then proceeded to put together an easy bake oven for a certain girl, which was missing parts in the box. He had to go out to the garage and fabricate a solution. He got to bed at about six a.m. When this young girl and her little brother woke at 7 a.m., the shiny new easy-bake oven was ready to bake a cake!

Beth your dad was such a sweet intelligent man with the best smile whenever we saw him at your picnics always enjoying himself.
I had no idea how incredibly amazing he was in what he accomplished in his lifetime. We were lucky to have known him.
