It was a pleasure to have known Dick, I had stayed in touch with him over the years ever since I got back into insulator collecting in the early 1980s after starting my job with the phone company and re-started the hobby some 20 years earlier. Dick will be greatly missed

Like so many others, Audrey and I have been close friends with both Dick and Ev for many years. We traveled together attending shows and many Florida visits, and enjoyed cards and celebrating New Years at their home. We express our most sincere condolences to the Bowman family. We all shall miss them both.

Thank you Jack and Audrey for sharing. Mom and Dad were very lucky, and grateful, to have friends like you. So glad they were able to find such 'kindred spirits' that shared so many common hobbies. I know there were many, many laughs and good times over the years, and the stories were shared frequently amongst the family.

When I joined the Industrial Engineering Division at Kodak Park I was fortunate to be assigned to the group that Dick was also in. He ultimately became. Unit Director of the group and was one of the best bosses I had at Kodak. I really enjoyed the parties at his house that he had for our group and the vast number of insulators on display. Len Lyons.

Thank you Len for sharing this. Dad was proud of the work he did at Kodak and valued his colleagues - who were friends as well. Glad you enjoyed the get togethers at the house -- the insulators were his pride and joy and he loved sharing his knowledge of them.

My dearest condolences to the Bowman family! I loved taking care of Dick for the last year. He was always smiling and was happy to see me. Always had stories about when he was younger and about his great kids! Dick was always ready with a joke or something positive to say! I’m gonna truly miss him but i know he is very happy to be with his wife and not in any kind of pain! he will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart forever ❤️

Condolences to the family. I am one of many collectors who bought insulators from Dick over the years, whether at a show or one of the big sale lists he mailed out each fall. He was a great guy and he and Ev will be missed by all who knew them. Photo is of Dick and Ev at their sales table at the 1997 NIA Convention at Rosemont, IL.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I always enjoyed spending time with your parents at the Golden Glow conventions. They were two of the first people I met at my first convention. May they find comfort together again in eternal peace.

Sue and I would like to express our deepest sympathy for Dick's death. Consolations are that he had a long and happy life, is no longer suffering, and is reunited with his loving wife Ev.
I met Dick the first day I started my Kodak career in Industrial Engineering in 1959. Our connection grew to a bowling team, bridge group, countless parties, and visits to St Petersburg.
We never were with Dick when he was not happy, positive, and energetic. We treasure the wonderful memories of those countless encounters.
May he rest in peace.
