Obituary of Joseph A. Germani
Webster: Aged 87, Passed away on 9/14/23 after a long illness.
Joe was born on August 25, 1936 in Syracuse, NY. After high school, he entered the US Marine Corps, serving overseas in Japan during the Korean War. Following his return to Syracuse, he met and married Marilyn DeCherico. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Following his retirement from Miller Brewing Company, Joe and Marilyn enjoyed many years of happiness in Myrtle Beach, SC before moving to Rochester, NY.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Germani, brothers John and Tony, sister Felice. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; children, Mary Jo (A. Michael) Penizotto, Joseph Germani and Victor Germani; 7 loving grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 10 -11AM Wednesday, September 20, at Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Rd. Webster where his Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment Service at Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court Street, Syracuse, NY will be held on Thursday September 21 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lifespan of Greater Rochester or URMC Hospice Care.
