Obituary of Anna Gable
Webster: February 16, 1934 – December 21, 2016. Anna died Wednesday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph Gable, who predeceased her in 2015. She is survived by her three children and three grandchildren; Doreen Kenney of Webster, her children Melissa, Steven and Emily; Robert Gable of Cortland and Christine (Dan) Hewitt of Webster.
Born and raised in Taylor, PA, she is also survived by her four sisters, Marion, Olga, Pat and Cathy; many nieces and nephews. Her parents, George and Olga Korpita, six brothers John, Theodore, Edward, George, Michael, Joseph, and a sister Margaret preceded her in death.
Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, of whom she was very proud. She was always up for an adventure and enjoyed traveling, reading, old movies and just 'going for a ride'. Ann was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Church and a longtime member of the choir. Her passion was singing and she built many friendships with choir members past and present.
Special gratitude to Ann's sister Pat Oliver, Taylor, PA for staying with her these past few weeks offering her love and support. Words cannot thank her enough.
She was loved and adored by her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.
