Gene and Barb were dear neighbors of ours for years until they downsized. My husband and I just had lunch at the Atlantic, which brought up Gene and Barb. We realized it had been a while since we heard from her and I stumbled upon this. We will miss the phone calls and catching up with you sweet Barb. Thank you for the sweet memories and loving us and our boys!

I only know of Barbara through my very dear friend Elaine Kubiak who has told me wonderful recollections about Barbara that she has and just how much she loved and now misses her. I wish that I had known Barbara, and I truly believe that she is in route to the very center of all love which is God the universal father of us all.

Barb was always kind and loving as I was growing up in Rochester. People often said we looked alike. What they did not know was that we were alike on a deeper level as well. I could talk to Barb about anything.
I still have the gown my mother made for me to be one of Barb’s bridesmaids when she married Gene.
Over the past several years we reconnected via phone, several times a week, for which I am very grateful. I still have a few of her voicemails.
Thank you for being my friend, Barb. I miss you very much but I know you are with Gene and at peace with our Lord.

I first met Barb in the late 80s or early 90s. She would stop in every single day to visit one of my lovely patients at a local long term care facility. She visited this friend of hers daily for years. She wouldn’t stay long so as to tire the patient out but I was impressed at what a faithful friend she was to my patient. Several years later, I found Barb again when we both were visiting Bill W. Barb was a beautiful loving and faithful friend. To Barb’s loved ones, hold onto the thought she is celebrating in Heaven.

I treasure the too short time I called Barb "friend" - she was always honest and caring and a wonderful example of grace throughout the 10 years I knew her. Her last phone message is something I'll cherish along with her memory. RIP my friend.

I chose Barb to be my son, Eric’s, Godmother because I knew how loving and dedicated she would be. Because of this relationship we all shared a special bond. She attended his wedding to Carra last November. We were so happy to see her there! We will miss her kindness and concern.

Barbara, once upon a time my babysitter, was a dear soul and a kind and caring person and cousin who was a connective thread for our family. Her updating phone calls and check-ins always ended with “I love you” and requests to spread that message to other members of our extended family.
Somehow, decades ago, she and Gene were persuaded to visit us in Nh. While touring Nh, Barb very reluctantly agreed to ride the tram to the top of Cannon Mountain on a picture perfect day even though she was very frightened to do so and very outside of her comfort zone! She even walked the rim with us and later thanked us for the experience.
Miraculously, on the day Barb passed, I opened my mailbox and found a beautiful Easter card from her that had traveled to New Hampshire, to Florida, and then back to New Hampshire again. She was still checking in and saying “ I am OK and I love you.”
I love you, too, Cuz, and will miss you dearly. Both Bob and I send our love to you. Donna
