Obituary of William C. Frank
William Conrad Frank, son of George and Ruth Frank, age 97, died peacefully on Saturday, July 8th 2023. He was predeceased by first & second wifes, Catherine Vanderoff and Margaret Grattan; brothers, George, Jack, and Ronnie Frank. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; children, Jeff Frank (Lon), Tim Frank (Janet) and Tom Frank (Karen); stepchildren, Brent Grattan, Bob Grattan (Carol), Diane Samons (Dave), Karen Gotham, Steven Fleming, Beth Mather(Donnie) and Mary Fleming (Matt); sisters, Betty Frank, Loretta Berthold and Jane Kaler; brother, Bob Frank; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was born and raised in Webster, New York. He served in the Navy as a CB until 1946, when he was honorably discharged. Much later in life, he and his brother Jack were able to take the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to thank them for their service in WWII.
Bill retired from Xerox in 1989, however continued working until he was 81. When he and Beverly, the love of his life, met roller skating 35 years ago they became involved in a multitude of activities. They managed an apartment complex and transported cars all over the country for a local dealership. Bill and Beverly were founding members of the Flower City Jazz Society, belonged to the Queen City Jazz Society in Buffalo and the Rochester Dinner Dance Club. They were known for being the most well dressed and best dancers on the floor, dancing 3 and 4 nights a week. They were active members of the Finger Lakes BMW Motorcycle Club. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
