Donna was a member of the Oakville Garden Club, which I also belong to. She shared her creativity with us and loved to make fairy gardens, art for the garden using plates and dishes and creating cards. She also loved watching birds outside her kitchen window. She and I worked on our Christmas Program for the Garden Club many years ago. We made little fairy gardens in tea cups at her house. She had boxes and boxes of items for the fairy gardens we made separated in categories. She gave me an Easter Cactus which I will always treasure. I will miss her enthusiasm, her smile and energy.

Dearest Aunt Donna. Like a second grandmother to my grandchildren. Always fun when she was in N Y!

I worked alongside Donna for many years. She was the best co-worker anyone could have. Her personality and intelligence was an asset to all that interacted with her. Her laughter was infectious. Donna’s warmth and compassion was felt by anyone she talked to. Even more, Donna was a good friend!! I will miss her!!
My condolences to Mike, Peter, and to all that were related and knew her.

I came to know Donna about 7 years ago through Bill Martin, Michael's cousin. Every summer when Michael and Donna came up to Sodus Point, we would have dinner at the Filling Station, or meet them in Sodus Point. I loved Donna's humor, and enjoyed talking to her about the Martin family history. I loved to see her posts on Facebook, with her arts & crafts projects, and her beautiful gardens. I will miss seeing her every summer, and saddened by her sudden loss. May she rest in peace in the arms of angels. Hopefully, there are beautiful gardens up there for her to tend. Our heartfelt condolences to Michael, Peter, and all of the Chappell family.

I went to RL Thomas High School with Donna and loved her smile, her sweet disposition, and her energy. She always had a joy for life and shared it with so many. I saw her at our reunion and was so glad we could reconnect, even for just an evening. May she rest in peace and rise in glory!

Donna was a beloved member of the Oakville Garden Club in Oakville, Missouri. She was so creative and fun to be with. Donna had many talents that she shared with us on several occasions. Donna was as loving and sincere as she was creative. She was first to send a card, bring a flower, or make a call to a sister in need. She never complained about her illness. She attended all the meetings and held meetings in her home. Donna is a bright light in our lives forever. We will miss her greatly. Lovingly, Connie Lohse, OGC
