Obituary of Alicia Griffith Trumble
Cared for compassionately by the nursing staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. Greeted by the Lord Sunday, June 4, 2023, age 75. Welcomed by her parents, Arthur and Jane Griffith; brother, David Griffith. Leaving behind her husband of 55 years, Ben; children, Tammy (Deborah) Canales, Kerry Trumble and Ben Jr. (Stephanie) Trumble; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephew.
Through our childhood mom worked within the schools as a note-taker for the hearing impaired students, she went back to Geneseo to achieve her Masters Degree, after which she worked as a Speech Pathologist at Hillside Children's Center to retirement.
Retirement, as mom knew it, meant actively volunteering at her Church, working the polls during voting seasons, staying involved in local theater groups and musicals, playing online gaming, and challenging herself with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy nightly.
In her spare time mom made it her goal to be at a full years calendar of events for family. If her grandchildren, or children had something going on she did her very best to be there.
If you messaged mom and didn't get a response right away, she wasn't ignoring you she was at the casinos winning, or in the winter, in Florida where the warm weather treats her right.
