Obituary of Anne E. Richmond
Webster: Saturday, June 3, 2023, age 73. Predeceased by her parents, Tom and Eleanor Richmond; brother, Mark Richmond. She leaves her sister, Linda Newman; nieces and nephews, Amy (Ron) Brewer, Laura (John) Abbett, Kathy (Jim) DeWolf, Tom (Trudy) Richmond and Bill (Michelle) Newman; great-nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.
Anne was a long time Webster resident, who lived at 54 South Ave. across from the Baptist Church. She attended Spry when it was a High School, just having to walk down the street to go to school. Her grandparents used to live where the firehall now stands on South Ave. Anne enjoyed being the youngest of 3 siblings. She dearly loved her mother, Eleanor doing everything with her until her passing. Anne attended SUNY Buffalo State where she achieved her Bachelor’s in Art and textile design. Anne did many outdoor craft festivals, and then owned the weavers booth at the Sterling Renaissance Festival, for many years. She had fond memories of her time with friends there. In addition, Anne worked for many years at Webster Lowes helping people pick out window blinds. Anne had a keen artistic eye, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, weaving, music, her family, and her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed trips to Maine. She loved tea, hot or iced and a good picnic. She especially enjoyed the library, the library sale and a good book or two or three or four!!!!!! Anne could tell great stories. She also always won at Trivia. Anne was a part of the Rochester Recorder Society and played the Alto among others. She also enjoyed playing piano. She valued music and the arts. She was also predeceased by her good friends, Kim, Dee Dee and survived by friend Margaret in Texas.
Friends and family are invited to her Graveside Service 11:00 AM Saturday, June 10 at Webster Union Cemetery, 345 Webster Road, Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Heritage Christian Stables, 1103 Salt Rd., Webster, NY 14580. Willard H. Scott Funeral Home.
