Obituary of Janet Herring Maier
Webster, NY: (August 9, 1957~May 18,2023) Passed peacefully surrounded by family on May 18, 2023 at age 65. Janet was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a well loved and active member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Webster. Janet was predeceased by parents James and Mary Herring, in-laws Norm and Shirley Maier, and brother in law David Maier. Survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Paul Maier, loving children Robert (Sarah) Maier, Tracy (Jerod) Brooks, treasured grandchildren Grace, Aiden, Zachary, and Reese, and sister Nancy Shay. Sisters and brothers in law: Brenda (Dick) Marr; Paulette (John) Bodak; Diane Maier; Nancy (Chip) Hildebrandt; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Janet will be dearly missed by all that loved her.
Friends are invited to calling hours 2-6 PM Sunday, May 21, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster. Funeral Service 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 23, at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1130 Webster Rd., Webster. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in her name to The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Stitchers (1130 Webster Road, Webster, NY 14580) or Webster Public Library (980 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580).
