I knew Nick for about ten years, and I will deeply miss his presence in my life. We had many lunches together after church, and I got to know him as a deep thinker about religion and philosophy. He was perhaps more interested in dogs and motorcycles, but his still waters definitely ran deep. I bet he has a Harley in heaven!
