Remembering our 100 mile Saturday nights driving back and forth between Ontario, Walworth and Lake Rd. We were only 14. Loved when Don drove his John Deere with Debbie riding on the back to our 50th Class Reunion. Spent a lot of memorable weekends in Sodus Point. So many Great Memories. I’ll remember my good friend forever.
I’m wondering if Jack Ferman is still trying to catch Don in the big Mercury #36. Wishing the best to all of the Dippels at this sad time. We wish you all the best of God’s blessings.

First impressions are often cast in happy memories. Mine are of Don as the 14-15 yr old driver of his stripped down Model T throwing dirt through the curves of the track he wore down between rows of trees on his family's apple orchard. Brother Tim and I flying up and down Potato Hill beside him at the white knuckle speed of maybe 20 mph. White knuckle for me, at least- for Tim probably not so much- and Don? - just laughing! And if it was really any other way than the way I remember ...I do not want to hear about it!
He was a terrific garage manager at the Webster Central Schools bus garage and that is where I met him. He always had a thoughtful answer to any questions we drivers came up with. Don was such a quiet, yet interesting man. I think I met and got to know Debbie first and she always called him "MY Donald". I just think that is so endearing. He will be greatly missed and I am so sad to hear of his passing. May God grant Deb and his family comfort and peace
