Dan was my neighbor and he sure was the sweetest one I’ve had! He shared with me that he spent his life with his wife and they use to work on a farm with a ton of animals, he was so sweet to my pups. Last winter he went out before we left for work and shoveled off our stairs just for my elderly dog, that gesture melted my heart. He had no business freezing his buns off for us but he was just that kind! He used to accidentally leave his car window open in the winter and keys in his door so I’d always give him a little knock to let him know and he was also so appreciative. But my favorite memory is just seeing him sitting out in his lawn chair, in his hat and boots with a cigar just enjoying the outdoors! I’m so sorry for your family’s loss <3

I met Mr McGee working at the horse farm on Berg Rd. He was always there, no matter the weather. After all, he had to feed Victor, the barn cat. He was a true farmer, he knew all the tricks and was a wealth of knowledge. My favorite memory was when we had some pregnant cows there and one had been in labor for a while. Mr McGee who always went home at lunch time came back at 3pm to see how she was progressing. He and I ended up intervening and pulling the calf out. Both of us covered in the mess of birth just laughed and hugged each other. We were just relieved that we could help and that calf and mother were ok.
Rest in peace Sir.
